Ramadan Kareem
On Monday, March 2, 2026, the Islamic Center of Daytona Beach had the honor of welcoming the Mayor to our community Iftar dinner. The evening brought together congregants, community leaders, and neighbors to observe the breaking of the fast during Ramadan in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The dinner featured an international menu representing the diverse cultural backgrounds of our members. The assortment of cuisines provided an opportunity for attendees to share food, stories, and cultural traditions. The Mayor expressed appreciation for the invitation and praised the Islamic Center’s role in fostering interfaith understanding and community cohesion. We thank the Mayor for joining us and all who attended for making the evening a meaningful occasion. The Islamic Center of Daytona Beach remains dedicated to promoting understanding, supporting our neighbors, and serving the broader community.

Thank you for your gracious hospitality and for welcoming me to your Iftar gathering. It was truly an honor to join you for such a meaningful evening.
I learned a great deal about this sacred season of your faith and the significance of fasting during Ramadan. I especially appreciated the fellowship and thoughtful conversations we shared. It was both refreshing and inspiring to discuss the positive, well-researched spiritual, physical, and community benefits that accompany fasting.
Seeing faith leaders, public servants, and members of law enforcement gathered together in a spirit of unity was a powerful reminder of what makes our city strong. Daytona Beach thrives when we come together with mutual respect and a shared commitment to understanding one another.
